C102 on SLT pier
I got a SLT mount and 102mm at a garage sale for $50CAD. It was in horrible shape sitting in the dirt, wet and uncared for. I took the scope apart as the tube was filled with slimy water when purchased and took about a month to redo it. A friend checked out the electronics for me and I found a old EQ-3 tripod to mount it on. The tube was rebaffled (4), inside was painted with ultra flat black, the focuser received new Teflon sliders and some super lube. The final touch for the focuser was the addition of the Orion Accu-Focus. The exterior was painted med. garnet red met and light cream. The tripod legs are gloss black with the pier and mount painted arctic white.
