Clouded out in the Washington DC area also. I had a brief glimpse of the transit with a 66mm refractor and glass solar filter before the clouds rolled in for good. Anyone else get a better view? Sends pics when you can!

Ditto up here in Varmint. At least I already had all the gear I needed. I know of many others who went off and spent Little Bobby's college-fund to get outfitted for this..... Monsoon! :p

    Predictable -

I didn't have anything set-up but I was planning to watch some local live streams. Found out that it was mostly clouded out for everyone :(

Took to reddit and found some nice photos though.

My local club, the AAA, had an outreach event in a park along the East River in Manhattan with half a dozen scopes, including mine. The conditions were iffy in the morning, and then iffy again in the afternoon. We were clouded out from seeing Second and Fourth contacts. But we did get to see First and Third, and for most of the 7 1/2 hours of the transit, it was clear. We had about 200 people stop by over the course of the day, including two classes of kids, one group of 7-year-olds, the other, a group of 16-year-olds. Everybody was pretty astounded and amazed.

The guy working the scope next to me snapped this through my scope with his iPhone about midway through the transit (32mm Plossl in my 127mm Mak at 48x):

And no, that's not a prominence on the bottom, just a photo artifact.
