Happy 2017 all! Clouds covered up the 2016 close conjunction of Mars and Neptune from my location, but I was fortunate to get this video of the 2015 pairing, a scant 0.2 degree apparent distance! Mars is the brighter object on the left. As usual, the music soundtrack is an original composition:

Thanks, Dave. How's the weather in your neck of the woods? Did you get to spy the conjunction?

No such luck - weather-wise up in Podunk. Solid clouds and spitting snow for weeks. Tonight's the first clear sky in seemingly forever. But too cold for my taste these days. I'm learning how to hibernate.
