Manufacturer Description

Baader Hyperion Digital T-Rings enable you to couple practically any digital camera, camcorder, or CCD Camera directly to the 54mm thread of the Baader Hyperion fixed focal length eyepieces and Mark II Clickstop Zoom (these rings are not for use with the newer Hyperion Mark III zoom eyepiece).

Hyperions make the ideal projection eyepiece for afocal projection imaging, delivering a very sharp projected image without any vignetting. The direct threaded coupling permitted by the Digital T-rings results in the most accurate and rigid attachment possible even with large and heavy cameras and video cameras. This system also allows the cameras lens to be located immediately above the large eyelens for eliminating the vignetting common in other systems (afocal projection).

- For attaching cameras with 28mm or 37mm filter threads, you will need the appropriate HDT ring as well as a 54mm extension ring (sold separately).
- For attaching cameras with filter threads from 46mm to 62mm, a single HDT ring will suffice.
- For attaching cameras with filter threads from 67mm to 77mm, you will need two step-up rings; the HDT54/62 ring + the appropriate HDT62/xx ring.
- For attaching cameras with an 82mm filter thread, you will need three step-up rings; the HDT54/62 ring + the HDT62/72 ring + the HDT72/82 ring.

      Pros:

      Easy to Use,Strong Construction,Compact

      Cons:

      Comments:

I use these rings with the Baader 17mm and 24mm eyepieces and couple to a Nikon D3100 kit lens 18mm to 55mm zoom which is a 52mm thread size. It works perfectly but just be a little careful when threading onto the camera

5.0 Great addition to my camera kit

      Pros:

      Easy to Use,Strong Construction,Lightweight

      Cons:

      Difficult To Focus

      Comments:

Great product to get started in astrophotography. Just attach one end of the ring to your DSLR camera (make sure you know the thread diameter, it's printed on the outside of the lens) and the other end to the eyepiece (Baader Hyperion). Focusing the camera is a little tricky, but I got used to it. Works great!

When you need these, you need 'em. Agena Astro is a great supplier of "little" equipment like this. That's why I am a repeat customer of Agena's.
