Product Info
Manufacturer Description
Lets you attach your video camera with a 'C' or 'CS' thread to your telescope for prime focus photography. C-threads are commonly used in most consumer video cameras whereas the CS thread is mostly used in security cameras. The camera must have a standard removable C-mount lens, which is a 1" diameter thread. Will not work on video cameras with a fixed lenses or bayonet mount.
To use, attach the camera to the C-thread of this adapter. Then slide the 1.25" barrel into your 1.25" telescope focuser and you are ready to shoot. Made of black anodized aluminum. Internally grooved to reduce stray light reflection for maximum contrast. Threaded to accept standard 1.25" astronomy filters.
Total length = 1.38" / 35mm; Length of 1.25" nosepiece = 1.19" / 30.2mm

Mechanically Perfect...
Pros:Easy to Use,Accurate,Strong Construction,Compact,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:I needed this adapter to attach my PGR Chameleon CCD to a 1.25" diagonal. Though listed as a 2nd due to uneven anodizing, this in no way affects the adapter's usage. Matter of fact, when inserted in the diagonal you can't see any imperfections.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
The important thing is that the adapter does what it is supposed to do and the fitment is excellent. So if you need one of these adapters grab one while they last! This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com

Jun 30, 2012Functions Quite Well
Pros:Accurate
Cons: Comments:I bought this adapter to use on a security camera conversion for astrovideography. The threads mated quite well with the camera and the filter threads seem smooth and fit all filters I have tried. The rating would have been higher if the adapter had a capture ring machined into the 1.25" barrel to help prevent accidental release of the camera during slews.

Jun 29, 2012Simple tool, does what its supposed to.
Pros:Strong Construction,Lightweight,Accurate,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:Not much to say about it other than it works. Threads were accurate, body seems true. These are marked as factory seconds, but I could not discern any flaws in it.

May 4, 2012An excellent buy.
Pros:Compact,Strong Construction,Lightweight,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:This little adapter is just what I needed to hook up my Lu070M planetary camera to the eyepiece end of my scopes. Not appreciated is that many times the threads won't be "just right" for your requirements. Well, this adapter is an exact match threadwise. It screws on the camera end with a minimum of turning torque and the grip is secure. The eyepiece end has the perfect thread size for your standard 1.25" planetary filters which you require with monochrome cameras like my Lu070M. The finish is excellent and the internals are perfectly black and swallow up stray light. Finally, this adapter sits perfectly square without any wobble or tilt in my TV 5X powermate (compression ring) as well as my Orion shorty 2X barlow (setscrew) which is a truly important feature to preserve your hard fought collimation so that you obtain the very best images that your system can provide. I've obtained very nice results with this adapter for planetary imaging of the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn as well as in the daytime for imaging the Sun in H-alpha and white light. I highly recommend this little adapter - it is an exceptional value for the price.
