Has a knurled grip in the center with a very short optical length of 1mm, and male 2" filter threads on either side. Made of black anodized aluminum. 5.0 The Handiest Items in Astronomy!

      Pros:

      Lightweight,Accurate,Compact,Strong Construction,Easy to Use,USEFUL

      Cons:

      None

      Comments:

The line of Blue Fireball products provide an incredible assortment of adapters that allow you to hook up almost any combination of accessories imaginable to your telescope.

I used a few different Blue Fireball adapters to attach the following to the rear cell of my 11 inch Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope: Lumicon Rear Cell Dust Seal - Blue Fireball Adapter - 4-position 2 inch filter wheel - Blue Fireball Adapter - 2nd 4-position 2 inch filter wheel - 2 inch diagonal.

It all worked perfectly and is in perfect alignment. As a result, I now have all my Lumicon Nebula, Comet and 1 single polarizer permanently attached to the scope.

This makes my nebula observing incredibly efficient and I couldn't have done it without Blue Fireball's line of adapters. Thanks Blue fireball!!

      5.0 Incredibly Useful Accessory

      Pros:

      Lightweight,Easy to Use,Strong Construction,USEFUL,Compact,Accurate

      Cons:

      None

      Comments:

I really didn't know this line of adaptors existed until I found them at Agena AstroProducts and I can tell you they solved all my problems. I own an 11" SCT and wanted to permanently mount a Lumicon UV Dust Seal Filter and TWO Orion 4-position 2" Filter Selectors between the SCT's Visual Back and the Diagonal. I had to go back and forth between male and female SCT threads and 2" filter threads using 3 adaptors to make it work. I don't know if I will ever be able to disassemble it without issues of not being able to re-separate all of it, but man, what a rig!
