Manufacturer Description
This is a high quality flexible slow-motion control stalk from GSO for manual control of your mount's RA or Dec axis. It is approx. 11.5" (292mm) long with a large round hand knob 1.97" (50mm) in diameter at one end. The total length of the cable with knob is 12.75" (324mm). Weight = 4.5oz / 128g. Sold individually.
The end shaft has a 0.24" (6mm) bore. If your Antares, Celestron, GSO, Orion, Vixen or other mount has a knob or short stalk for slow motion control on either axis, then you can replace it with this control stalk for more convenient control of the slow motion function. Just remove the existing part (knob/short stalk), slide this longer stalk on to the slow motion shaft, tighten the locking screw (no tools required) and you are good to go.
Be sure to measure the diameter of your mount's shaft before you order this item. Some mounts have a larger 8mm shaft, and this item will not work with those.
Important note for GSO SkyView / Voyager Alt-Az mount owners: GSO has made two versions of this mount - one with a 6mm diameter shaft for the slow motion cable/knob and another with an 8mm diameter shaft. This cable is meant only for mounts with a 6mm diameter shaft. It will not work with the mounts that use the larger 8mm shaft. So again, please measure before ordering.

GSO Manual Axis Control

Pros: Cons: Comments:These things don't exactly grow on trees but trust Agena to have what you need at a good price. I ordered this flex control for my Orion AstroView 90 since one of the two flex cables they supply with the mount is too short. This cable has good build quality and fits my dec/slow/mo perfectly, if a tad long; 11.5". It would be nice if GSO had these big knob cables in 9" but that's hardly a con. BTW, Agena got it to me in just 4 days!
