    Two weeks to opposition, a week to perigee! A variably cloudy week for us in the southern U.S. but during those brief windows of clarity, I was able to capture some valuable Martian data. Here is the result of Wednesday night's hour-long session:

    Thanks! The north polar hood really stands out on this one. Syrtis Major and Hellas Plain will be front and center on the night of perigee November 30.

    that is about what I saw tonight but in a different orientation, and with less atmosphere visible, sadly.
