DO YOU KNOW? Every ZRS (ZEN-RAY SUMMIT) binocular goes through rigorous waterproof testing before leaving their factory floor by following the most demanding JIS 7 (Japanese Industrial Standard Level 7). What does that mean? They immerse every binocular into a 5 feet deep water tank for 3min. Only the one passes the test can be released. So, let it rain!
Now, each ZRS binocular will ship with FREE Zen-Ray Deluxe Comfort Neckstrap and Carrying case!
Q. What's the major difference between VISTA and ZRS (SUMMIT) binoculars.
A. Both models are featured with fully multi-coated optics, which means every glass/air interface has been coated with multi-layer anti reflection material. As a result, they can achieve over 99% transmission rate for each glass surface. In addition, they both are waterproof/fogproof with inert gas charged/o-ring sealed. VISTA is designed to compete with mid-priced ($200-$350) binoculars on the market, whereas ZRS is designed to exceed optical performance of more expensive binoculars ($500-$700). You will see a lot of premium features included in the ZRS package, such as magnesium chassis, Argon gas filling, locking diopter, phase coating. ZRS is designed to improve the edge to edge sharpness so a true flat viewing field can be obtained.

Sep 23, 2012Zen Ray Vista review
Pros:Close Focus,Strong Construction,Waterproof,Compact,Quality Lenses
Cons: Comments:The only reason I did not give them a 5 star is the case which is a simple nylon bag, but for the money these are excellent binocular, just keep an eye out for a better case. They are a bit heavy but very well built and armored. I tested that out when I first opened up the box, sat the binos on top of my printer shelf on the desk and promply knocked them off onto the concrete floor, no damage and optics are fine, wow. They also come with an excellent padded neck strap and lens covers - just push the cover attachment rings further up the body of the bino, they will then stay on and not fall off. They have excellent eye relief and click stop eye shields. All in all, a very nice package at a good price.
