I kept telling myself, Keith, you don't need anymore scopes, you don't need anymore scopes, you don't need anymore scopes, LOOK A SQUIRL! And while I was distracted, a 1965 Tasco 10TE showed up on the local Craigslist, and it was only 10 minutes from my house...so I got it. I had heard rumors that the Royal Astro Optics telescopes were kinda good, so I just had to get it. [IMG]

The ota and finder can use a new paint job. They're scratched up some, but no dents. It still had the metal dust cap so the objective is nice and clean. The eyepieces, diagonal, and both flexible drive shafts are missing. A kind gentleman on the CN board is sending me a pair of unused drive shafts that he had laying around. [IMG] The inside of the case is in good shape, just needs some new felt. The outside needs a bit of work though. Part of one of the side panels and handle are missing.

The badge with the makers mark that I was hoping to see.

What do you think...a little duct tape and it should be good as new! [IMG]
