Nice site! Hope to make some friends here. First view through a scope was at age 8. Purchased first scope in 1974. ATM since 1976. Lunar/Planetary/Multiple Star observer.

Nice of you to join us, Keith! And a warm welcome to our eclectic home. We are a rather new forum still in it's formative days, so you are now not only a member - but one who will point to the direction that A-C is going to travel!

So relax, kick your shoes off, and relax. And beware - we already have established the use of humor in many places one might least expect.

Hint: There is much speculative discourse on the latest doings of the Little Green Men of Zeta Reticuli and what they damaged this time! :D

Always feel free with any questions or ideas!

    All the best -

    Dave

    Hi Keith, welcome to AC.

I had a look to see where the Tehachapi mountains are and saw some wonderful nature videos. It looks like an excellent place for astronomy. Lucky you!

    Thanks for joining.

Welcome Scopejunkie! Kind of new here myself. Great forum!
A good friend of mine is from Tehachapi. He lives in Washington State now but goes back there to visit family on occasion.

Welcome to the forum! I like it here so far. For me it has a small town feel insteaad of the hussle and bustle (and sometimes chaos) of some of the other sites .

Tehachapi is one of my favorite places in California it's nice to finally meet someone from there the picture on the left is a one of the dogs we used to own or is it own us? I sometimes get that confused.

They own us, plain and simple. :) Sometimes I think Emma(my avatar) is a cat disguised as a dachshund! A bit stubborn and independent. :)

I have two cats that definitely own us. They hold us for ransom twice a day. We are the food people. Remy the male, starts knocking things on the floor if I don't feed him when he thinks I should. He is all black except for a white spot on tip of his tale.
