How do I do that? The program won't open for more than 5 seconds.

Hey Mak - that may start SOME ball rolling...

I'm pleased to report my Stellarium 0.18.1 has fixed itself. From the website I read a great number of people have reported the same problem - Stellarium crashes when turning it on.

Couldn't find the config-ini Alex said to locate and change the address to an https//, so I didn't fix anything. So it fixed itself! I hope all the others having this same problem as I also found it has fixed itself.

    Very weird.

    Thanks, Alex!

Having moved onto a Windows 10 patform, I am having difficulty with 0.18.1. Trying to set it up, but the settings are such I can't figure out how to change the color of lines - like the constellation-line are bright-blue and I want them a yellow-buff. No can find. Or how to install extra star-catalogs. Any help from anyone will be greatly appreciated!

At first point I highly recommend install drivers for graphics card!

    Constellation lines - F4 -> Starlore; star catalogues - F2 -> Extra.

    Hey Everyone!

The latest full release - 0.18.2 - has been released from the Team! That was quick, don't you think? So here's the link to the website:

    http://stellarium.org/

    And here's an oddity.....

I am using a new operating system, Windows 10 64 O.S. On the last 'beta' released before this latest full-release - 0.90.0.16188.....

I loaded the'64' for my 64b OS. Turned it on. And my computer rejected it as the program immediatly crashed. After a few more tries - I remove the 'beta' and tried the 32 instead. No problems whatsoever.

So now I downloaded the '64.' And the behavior happened again! CRASH! So I tried the '32' and, again, it works perfectly.

If anyone else has the happen - roll it back and download the '32' instead. I don't know if this is due to my Windows' 10 or it's Stellarium itself - but just keep this in mind if you, too, run into this phenomena. As long as it works - I'm a Happy Camper!

    Best Wishes!

    Dave

Geeze no, Alex. I got rid of the non-functional 64's. I should have thought of that - but my mind was on other things - like getting a working 32 installed.

    Sorry about that!

    All the best -

    Dave

I wanted that angle measuring tool so I did some investigating on YouTube and found out how to get it up and running. It's a plugin. I think it's AWESOME.
Now I have to find out how to do those circular fields of views.
