    i just picked up very good condition NEXSTAR 8, from 2001. Very limited software controls. alignment is either 2 star or auto align. when i use autoalign, scope begins to point downward, not upward. also, the directional buttons for up and down on hand controller are opposite. seems that scope is on mount backwards. Doesn't use dovetail, but funky screwed in thin plate. don't know if i can disassemble easily. nexstar8.jpg Any experience on this?

    oops. tube just spins around to face right way. no need to unbolt. question answered!
