Are you frustrated over your lack of clear nights?
Don't know who to complain to about it?
Here ya go, vent baby, vent!

I already have several pieces of new equipment that I haven't got to use yet and today I just ordered another new piece of equipment and it really crumbles my cookies because of the lack of clear skies that I've been having for the last several months.
I know that airplanes are partly to blame for it. It is now known and easily observable that contrails do turn into clouds.

Yes I've often wondered if contrails seed clouds.its strange high flying jets don't always leave contrails and I'm guessing that it has something to do with amount of moisture in the atmosphere.as most jets traveling long distance travel in the very bottom of the stratosphere there should be very little moisture there so I'm guessing that contrails must come from jets in the troposphere in a region just under the stratosphere.you can track them on your phone but of course you can only guess their altitude based on where they are coming from and going to in relationship to where you are.plus the phone doesn't show military or many private flights.

Astronomers all over have been battling light pollution but I haven't heard of any trying to do anything about clouds and as for the manmade ones the possibility to be able to do something about them does seem to exist.

    This could be my fault.
    I have recently bought a Delos 17.3 , ES 28mm 68* and a ES 11mm 82*
Most likely its me, I am the reason for the clouds.
It sucks it finally cleared late last night but it was cold and I was beat.

My dob is apart right now but I just need on night with my AR102 to check out my new EPs.
I see its not going to be that clear up here and very cold soon.
Clear on Thur. and Fri. but way to cold. This might be the right time to work on the dob.

New base for it. The old one was made out of "fallaparticle board"
Have some balltic birch plywood for the new one.

    I have the Orion XT8.
The base is coming along ok. I have the bottom all cut out.
Need to cut the sides still but my table saw was lent to my cousin last night, he is doing some work on his house.
I am really in no hurry because it is really cold at night or its just cloudy.
I will post some pics of it Donald so you can check it out when its done.

That would be great Tony :)
Are you going to do any kind of a fancy paint job or add sticker or decals?

I think I will just keep it natural looking.
A nice coat of poly and that's it.

I was thinking about this last night and wondering if telescope manufacturers had ever or will ever produce space movie themed telescopes.
