We now have GSO 8" classical Cassegrain optical tubes back in stock! Available in both white and black steel tubes, these f/12 OTAs are ideal for serious visual observation and imaging of the Moon, planets, and small, bright deep-sky objects. With these scopes, there's no corrector plates to dew over or cause chromatic aberration, while the open-tube design makes it fast and easy to come to thermal equilibrium. And at just 20 pounds, these OTAs are compact and light enough for any good mid-capacity mount.

Or, if you're looking for more aperture and resolution, we also have a beautiful new 10" GSO classical Cassegrain OTA that's fully tested and ready to ship. With a lightweight carbon-fiber Serrurier truss tube, 3.25" linear bearing dual-speed focuser, and dual mounting plates, this optical tube is ideal for a serious planetary or lunar imager with a solid mount.

And remember: all GSO classical Cassegrains are fully tested in our lab for optical and mechanical quality and collimation, so they're good to go out of the box. We have just one 10" truss-tube OTA in stock and a few each of the 8" OTA in black or white.
