I'm in disbelief that I got a nice night to image in July living in the South, you know exactly what I I was doing last night. I selected a bunch of targets due to trees everywhere with holes here and there. IC1805 31 minutes Luminance @60s guided. I'm getting better at this AP stuff, it only took 2 choices to find a good one Median Deconvolved Heart nebula IC1805.jpg "Heart nebula innerds "Pillars of Creation " , I'm still in awe over the temp drop after melting for months .

Great Job! Love those pillars. Wouldn't you know I'm vacationing out of NC this week, missing the good weather.

Squeege thanks , I've got a wool insulated jacket on and the Heart won't get out of the darn tree. I must have been out later than I thought last night. This is getting pretty old sitting waiting for a chance to start guiding, if it weren't for the clouds that just appeared . I'm just going to run Ha tonight , don't look good now.

W O W ! ! ! Beautiful image with plenty of sharp detail and contrast. I love B&W photography and this one is very good. Thanks for sharing it.

Well, I got a sort of clear night Monday evening. Thought I would try same object. Some know the pillars as Star Queen or Queen of the Heavens. I guess we can now call it the Queen of Hearts! 45 minutes of 40 second exposures using 8 inch newtonian, which had serious coma issues, and ZWO ASI 294 pro camera. You're right, it's lower than comfort level in the southern sky, but above my tree line. Hope to get another set with collimated telescope and longer duration captures. drizzle m16 072918.jpg

Squeege @45s subs there isn't much of a difference in the dust and the Spire, collimation can kill an image for sure . I had 4 targets on my sequence in SGP and I really should've double checked my target, I was corrected by another imager from California. My bad Squeege , I recon you'll have to come up with a new name Median Deconv Eagle 1.jpg , I believe your on the edge of a wonderful Eagle with the" Pillars of Creation". I did some work with the Luminance I ran , Ps B&W>Ha enhancement using Noel Carboni's astronomy tools . It's red until I go back to it with it higher in the sky .

Interesting. How do you like Noel Carboni's astronomy tools?

It love it and it saves me a lot of time, it'll do a lot of processes with just a single click of a tool in my " ancient" ADOBE Pscs2 . It was worth it to me Squeege..
