    Here's another part of the Veil Nebula, C33 the Bat Nebula. It was uncommonly clear over NC last night. Can't believe all the stars visible in this part of Cygnus. batnebula 2 small.jpg

    That did truly show a Bat for me, now that it's named as a Bat. Odd I'd never heard this so referenced before (How did I manage to miss this? :p). Very nice and I thank you for it!

    The area around Cygnus is batshit crackers full of stars and open clusters. It's one of my favourite areas in the summer sky.
