I spent a long, relaxing evening observing the cosmos (from about 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.) during which I got this image of Jupiter with the GRS on full display. I posted two versions of the same image processed slightly differently. Couldn't decide which I liked best, lol. Observing-wise, I enjoyed the view tremendously using my #80A (medium blue) filter; features really jumped out. If you haven't gotten one already, I highly recommend this filter for Jupiter.

Very nice images and I do agree with the 80A.
    A good filter for Jupiter.

Really nice images. They each have their unique qualities. I still have my collection of colored planetary filters, and do agree about the 80A for Jove.

Happy for you that you got a long and relaxing evening under the stars.

I am a total opportunist when the night is clear, lol. Even when I have to work the next morning I may stretch a session to midnight. Fortunately, I had the next day off for this session. I saw the forecast for the next several days (rain), so I had no reason not to stay out into the wee hours. Hope things clear up for you, soon, Ed.

And when they do, take full advantage ;)

Before I bought the #80A, I had the #82A (light blue) which came with a GSO set that I used for Jupiter. It was ok but apparently didn't have a strong enough hue to really make Jupiter's features jump out.

It's medium blue and it does a great job on Jupiter :)
