    My name is Don Pensack.
    You probably know me from other forum sites as Starman1.
    I'm a visual-only observer since 1963.
    I've worked in the astro biz since 2005, but I've been an all-night observer for 52 years as of Summer 2015.
    I live in L.A. with a dog, a cat, a tolerant wife and observe from the patio a few times a month with a 4" refractor and once a month (all night) at a dark site with a 12.5" dobsonian.
    I'm interested in all things astrophysical--to me, observing and studying astronomy are the Yin and Yang of the hobby.
    Hopefully, I'll be able to do this many more years. Astronomy is my oldest friend.

    For me, to be able to observe all night is a thing of the past. Can't stay awake past 10:30 p.m. any more. But there was a time when I'd observe 'til dawn, then sleep on the ground under my telescope 'til the hot sun drove me out of my sleeping bag. Boy, those were the days!

    Hi Don. Good to see you're here too. Though, I'm more of an EAA guy, I always enjoy reading your posts about EPs.
