Hello everyone, just joined the group and thought it good to introduce myself. I have recently become nterested in Astronomy after a long spell. I currently own a basic setup consisting of a Skywatcher EQ5 with goto capability. I own a Canon 1100D DSLR which I use for astophotography. I use Astrophotography Tool and Pixinsight for my images but to be honest I have a lot to learn with these applications before I will feel comfortable using them. I guide with a 9x50mm guidescope with a Starlight Express Lodestar. I admit not a perfect setup but I do love a challange. Hoping to have a great time at Astronomy Connect and chatting to a lot of the members.

Hey Peter I watched the video on AstroImaging Channel called "LIVE: Resolving Double Stars with Backyard Gear" was this the video you were referring too that mentions us. I didn't hear or see reference to it when I watch so I was wondering if I may have had the wrong video.

Welcome Peter. We are a small but friendly group, but we are growing.

Indeed England was very sunny for the mercury transit, well the northern half of the country, as I watched the mercury transit from county Durham using thousand oaks solar film and an 8x25 monocular plus a huge pair of 20x60 Russian binoculars.
