    A good mate of mine recommended Astronomy Connect to me, the one and only Mak the Night

    Well I migrated from CN because of the moderators and their one-sided views on a matter. They have acted as demi-gods unfortunately. I was called a shill and made a Vendor Affiliate because I was promoting a new product solely based on information provided by the company's website, facebook, Amazon, YouTube, etc.
    I have never received anything from Svbony nor signed any documents to be an "experiencer", a word I learned from CN just two days ago. They could not comprehend this yet they allow their moderators and others to do the same thing. I found out about such an incident today and wrote to the owner to rescind my Vendor Affiliate designation and guess what?

    I was shut down this evening without any notice by them today following the correspondence below with the Owner.

    So hello everyone... I only do visual, use Maks and refractors, and am happy to read posts and contribute to this forum

    Long time ago I used to be very active on CN. Unfortunately, I later realized it was rife with "experts" intolereant of contrasting views, who half the time didn't even know what they were talking about. I also noticed a preponderance for discussions to degrade into "barroom brawls". I still have my account, but rarely even look on CN. I keep it mainly to sell off equipment I no longer use.

    Welcome to AC. Glad to hear you and Mak are good mates. He's a good guy.

    Mak is such a knowledgeable person on scopes and eyepieces.

    You are so correct in your assessment of CN. What is happening with a thread of mine is exactly what is occurring. Now they have completely deleted my thread which had over 14000 views and almost 500 posts.
    Go figure that one out.
