It's been a productive year for me and astrophotography and I need your help in choosing my best photo of the year. You can only choose one:

    Mars (ASI 224mc)
    ASTRONOMY - MARS POST-OPPOSITION 1-02-23.jpg

    Comet ZTF (prime focus)
    ASTRONOMY - COMET ZTF 1-27-23 A CAPTION.jpg

    The Orion Nebula (prime focus)
    ASTRONOMY - ORION NEBULA 1-15-23.jpg

Venus & Jupiter conjunction (prime focus)
    ASTRONOMY - VENUS & JUPITER CONJUNCTION 3-01-23 A.jpg

Venus clouds in UV (Astromania filter, ASI 224mc)
ASTRONOMY - VENUS (UV FILTER ASTRO) 5-04-23 B.jpg

    Saturn (ASI 224mc)
    ASTRONOMY - SATURN PRE-OPPOSITION 8-19-23.jpg

    Partial eclipse (prime focus)
    ASTRONOMY - PARTIAL ECLIPSE 10-14-23.jpg

    Jupiter (ASI 224mc)
ASTRONOMY - JUPITER (GRS, IO & CALLISTO) 10-29-23.jpg

Waning crescent moon & Venus (DSLR 300x zoom)
    ASTRONOMY - MOON - WANING CRESCENT & VENUS 11-09-23.jpg

    Uranus (ASI 224mc)
    ASTRONOMY - URANUS (ZWO) 11-18-23.jpg

    I love 'em all :p

Reggie, why do you have to make life so hard? My pick: Mars, Comet, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Uranus. Sorry, but that's the best I can do. You certainly have had one heck of a good year. My compliments to you!

ADDED: Your post prompted me to look at my 2023 images. I don't know why I kept thinking I had a non-stellar year, maybe because of the persistent bad weather and the hectic pace of this year. After looking I realized I had a good year, with many good shots of planets, a comet, and the Orion Nebula.

LOL, it is a tough choice. Thanks for your input. Hey, why don't you round up your best images from the year and post them as well :)

Riggie, thanks for the suggestion, you must have been reading my mind. Later this week I think I'll do just that. Maybe other imagers/sketchers on the site can post their work? Would be nice.

That would be great. This could be an annual showcase of our best images/sketches :)

I think that would be a good idea so other members may decide to show their images as well :)

I think your idea is great! Meybe we can make a sticky at the top of the AP forum so the images/sketches are found all in one place. Let's kick some ideas around.

ADDED: I just finished looking through the MEDIA Gallery (Media tab at top). I don't think this is what what we want.
