Weather patterns have been bad in South Florida. I haven't been able to do any imaging of Mars for fear of getting my equipment rained on. I did get a rare opportunity to observe on the 26th, and it was easy enough to get pencil and paper to sketch at the scope. The martian dust was still bad enough to obscure a lot of visual detail, but I could see hints of some dark areas. The sketch is a pretty good representation of what I saw at the eyepiece. I hope you can see the faint dark details in the sketch, mainly along the southern and northern regions. The polar region and terminator were pretty evident.

BTW, this sketch is the final version done in the house at my desk. At the eyepiece I do sketches that are rather crude, but include lots of notes and the important features that I observe.
