I was out and about last night mainly experimenting with my Zeiss 5x10 mini quick monocular to see what i could detect in such a tiny device. The milky way was quite prominent in the sky,I was in a light/dark green bortle zone(right on the border of the two greens),as the moon came up not far off full but waining I noticed that the moon light didn't diminish the milky way. The moon was very bright but low.strange human light pollution destroys the view of the milky way but moon light doesn't seem to, I wonder why?

Be glad you can see the milky way. I can't. I have no answer to your question.

Been thinking about it might it be when the moon is low it's light is only coming from one direction thus not flooding the entire sky with light.in the city human light pollution is coming in at all angles thus flushing out the entire sky.
