Here's a little mosaic I did of the moon recently using a 6", f5 Newt, with a QHY5-II. Sharpcap was used to capture the panes, each of around 500 frames. these were stacked with Registax and stitched in ICE (although it's changed its name now.

This was my first attempt after numerous updates to Sharpcap and I wasn't aware that colour control had been added, hence the green tinge! I quite like it like this though.

Another mosaic, follwoing on from the previous thread. Much better colour, but strange artifacts between the panes. Same equipment as before.

That looks like it took allot of planning and detail work to get all together. Very nice I have not tried the mosaic most of the time when the seeing get really good I pull out a cheap camera and a 4x Barlow and once in a while I get lucky!
Here is Petavius, a large lunar impact crater located to the southeast of the Mare Fecunditatis, near the southeastern lunar limb. This was one of those lucky nights.

Yeah..I love the moon with my refractors. I never processed images before...old school I think..cuz I just shoot and enjoy.
I took this 1 second image with my Rebel on my 10"f/15 refractor of Clavious.

    Nerdy,
Your green moon reminds me of my early observing experiences with non-scientific types who asked to look thru my telescope at the moon. Some asked jokingly if the moon was really made of green cheese :D while many others asked the same question with all sincerity. Thank goodness, I haven't been asked that question in a long time.
