With a long focal length and razor-sharp optics, our new 10" f/12 truss-tube Cassegrain from GSO is a modern take on the classical Cassegrain design. This big scope is ideal for serious lunar and planetary imaging and visual observation, and it offers views that rival and exceed those of large Schmidt-Cassegrain and premium apo refractors. With a carbon-fiber Serrurier truss tube design and a big 3.25" dual-speed focuser, it's a beautiful telescope to look at and to look through.

But don't take our word for it! The 10" GSO Classical Cassegrain is reviewed in detail by Dennis diCicco in the December 2019 issue of Sky & Telescope magazine (now on newsstands or available digitally to subscribers). After putting the scope through its paces visually and photographically on Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon, and dozens of deep-sky objects, and even cranking it up to 824x with a 3.7mm Ethos eyepiece, diCicco was impressed. He writes in his review:

"The GSO 10-inch classical Cassegrain is a first-class instrument. The optics proved to be excellent. They were perfectly collimated out of the box... Images would snap into focus the moment you hit the sweet spot when focusing an eyepiece... I can highly recommend the 10-inch GSO classical Cassegrain."

Read the entire detailed review on page 66-69 of the December 2019 digital or print issue of Sky & Telescope.

And if a 10" Cassegrain is a little too big for your needs, we also have GSO 8-inch classical Cassegrains and 6-inch classical Cassegrains in stock.
