    Here are my images of the Saturn opposition with Jupiter (and moons Europa and Io) in tow using my ZWO ASI 224mc and 180mm Mak-Cass. Seeing was very good if not excellent:

    Saturn is slowly losing its "tilt" from our perspective, moving towards an edge-on apparition by 2025.

    Reggie, I haven't been imaging for about four months. It's primarily the sky conditions and heat that have interfered. Yesterday I was in the backyard and saw a beautiful 3 day old moon. I seized the opportunity to quickly set up my DSLR and 250mm lens on the photo tripod, and snapped 29 frames. One image looked decent, which I tweaked and posted last night.

    I would really like to image in the Sagittarius and Scorpius region before that part of the sky gets too far West. Keeping my fingers crossed.

    I hope you get to do that. I was just looking at the Butterfly and Ptolemy's clusters the other night in awe through my 150mm reflector before moving on to the Lagoon and Trifid nebulae. I love watching the stars resolve in M22 and M28 the longer I gaze at them. I can barely make out the nebulosity in the Omega Nebula with my optics; the Eagle Nebula is all but invisible. It's a truly busy area of the sky as expected, lol!

    @Ed D Have you ever tried to image the blue horse head in Scorpius? I tried to see some parts of it on multiple occasion but it's really invisible for me visually. );

    @Orion25 I agree it's a great moment to see the stars resolve in M22 especially, it's truly a wonder. :) Last night I looked at the great cluster in Hercule, which was fairly high in the sky... ouufff it never gets old.

    I also find the Eagle quite difficult, I think the NPB filter will help a lot on that one but the last time I looked at it with my 8".. there was a TINY amount of nebulosity.. with my 12" the last time, nothing, probably caused by heavy light pollution, poor transparency also.

    Yesterday my main subject was Saturn again, from the light polluted backyard. I could see 5 moons from my log and validated this morning.

    A. Titan, B. Rhea, C. Dione, D.Tethys and E. Lapetus. At the dark spot 1 more moon is available easily et 2 more moons in serious averted vision.

    The Encke gap was not visible also.. looks like a difficult feature to see overall.

    Views were great anyway ((;

    No, I haven't. It does look like a very interesting area to image, and shouldn't be that hard for me to find in the LP. Hmmm..., maybe I'll try it with my 10" Dob with the DSLR, all hinging on the weather and sky conditions.
