Due to its short focal length I having great difficulty getting my pocket Borg 25 mm refractor working with a star diagonal. With it's tripod looking at high up objects can do terrible things to your neck just using it as a through and through refractor. I've read that televue and other very expensive eye pieces that have a built in Barlow work with this tiny scope but obviously they cost a great deal.a normal Barlow works well too but makes the scope twice the length to this end I may try a shortie Barlow at 2x.

If 1.5X - 1.6X will help, I've got an Orion (GSO) Shorty-Barlow from which you can unsrew the lens-element from it and screw this into your eyepiece-du-jour. The GSO-Shorty's lens-element is very high-quality. I haven't had any distortion of the target (mostly Moon & planets) I'm observing.

It was money well-spent imho. I also have TeleVue® 2X and 3X Barlow's - as well as a 2.5X PowerMate. And a new GSO 5X Barlow with 3-lens-elements, and a BIG 2" 2X Barlow by GSO. It came with a 2" - 1.25" adapter - but this was destroyed when it's compression-band mired itself into the Barlow. I swapped it for an extra 2" - 1.25" adapter from William Optics.

And that's more than enough! :D

I love my Orion Shorty Barlow 2X. Great build. Excellent quality. Versatile removable element.
I'd definitely pick one up ;)
