I think competition will soon be heating up for small telescopes adapted for solar viewing . I wonder why....:)

Apparently Svbony will be launching a small refractor in Oct for this very purpose. I wonder if Celestron and Orion will follow suit. It will be popular given the total solar eclipse to occur in April 2024 and the solar eclipse this forthcomng Oct.

I would not really refer to it as competition but taking advantage of a approaching occurrence.
Many manufacturers did the same with the re-appearance of Halley comet and the market was flooded with multiple telescopes of sub-par quality.

There is nothing wrong with using a 60mm refractor though the resolution for observing sunspots will be limited in detail.
Using a mylar film is also not benificial as mylar has the lowest resolution of all the solar films available.
No issues with the 1.25" focuser or included eyepieces since you are just viewing in narrowband the Kellners will work fine.

If it is sold for about $100-150 USD it should be a fair price for what is included.
My personal (cheaper) recommendation though would be to get some Baader ND5 astro film and make a filter for your existing telescope.
