Jupiter shot through smoke and haze from local fires. Seeing 6/10. SV305/C14
Wow! That's total awesomeness, SJ! It really shows the power of a 14-inch scope
Thanks! It's been tough trying to shoot the moon and planets with the continuing smoke from the fires. It really affects the color, contrast, and exposure times. Also, being out in it is not good at my age. I'm giving up till I get some clear nights. At the rate things are going, Jupiter and Saturn will probably not be favorable by the time the skies clear up. I'm looking forward to Mars.
Very good Jupiter image. Wish I could send some of our torrential South Florida rain your way.
Thanks! We would love to have it!
Scope junkie , you nailed it with that data collection . I've got to shoot over the house if I want to catch Jupiter and that's a no no .
