I am looking for a vintage Takahashi TS-65 semi-apochromat. I have heard these have been plagued with lens coating issues which has me a bit concerned. What should I be looking for in terms of coating degradation? How common of a problem is this?

Did these come with 2" focusers or just 1.25" Can they be adapted to 2" with a different visual back? Any issues with reaching focus, i.e. will I encounter issues with getting eyepieces/accessories to reach focus because the scope won't focus in (towards the lens) far enough?

Any feedback, suggestions, or advice from owners of these older Takahashi refractors?

    Thanks!
