Hi, I am considering the purchase of a Vixen AXD mount, does anyone have experience with this mount? if not what is your opinion. I have a cgem-dx that is hypertuned but I am not happy overall with the quality of this mount. Its hard to balance and sensitive to vibration....

    Hi Tom,

I have no experience with your CGEM-DX or the Vixen AXD, but I agree that any mount sensitive to vibration should be upgraded or replaced. I think all small mounts are especially sensitive to imbalance, but they should be easy to rebalance, which needs to be accomplished almost every time you change eyepieces, accessories, or when aiming at another part of the sky.
