Recently purchased Skywatcher EQ-6R mount. Weight limit is stated at 44 pounds of telescope. I've customized my custom built dobsonian 10 inch f6 Reflector to work on an EQ mount. Counter weights needed are at 36 pounds, so the scope must be in the 40 pound range. That's alot of weight! The mount seems ok with it. I attached this same telescope to a Meade LXD75 mount several years back and the mount wasn't happy at all.

So what's the biggest telescope, or the most weight attached to a mount? Any stories out there? mount.jpg 20190915_172103.jpg 20190915_195921.jpg
