Manufacturer Description

The ring mounts on the barrel of the accessory (eyepiece, camera, etc.) to set the focus point. The slim rings allow a close fit to the eyepiece barrel. Each ring is supplied with a fitting allen key. The rings are precision-manufactured from aluminum. Available for 1.25" and 2" eyepieces.

2" Blue Fireball Parfocalising Ring
Pros: Cons: Comments:I bought two... One to put on the nosepiece of my diagonal to get a bit of finger clearance around the lock knob at the back end of my refractor, the other for the nosepiece my photographic adapter, so I wouldn't need to rack the focuser so far out. Inexpensive and valuable improvements to the telescope.

Jun 12, 2014Parfocalizing Ring Blue Fireball
Pros:Accurate,Strong Construction,Compact,Easy to Use,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:Was looking for a solution to my lack of back focus in my Zhumell Dob while using Televue lenses. And after searching for an interchangeable drawtube for the Zhumell focuser, I found that there's no such thing. These parfocalizing rings provide a nice level face to butt up against the focuser assuring alignment whilst gaining me some back focus. I knew there had to be a better alternative to just letting an expensive eyepiece dangle out in the focuser drawtube, because that's what I had to resort to, but not any more. This was quite an annoyance for me and this product, I think will be a good solution. They are made well. Fit perfectly. Experience with Agena was great. Shipping was great. Thank you. Cory W

Aug 30, 2009Good Ring but set screws are a bit small
Pros:Good value,Accurate
Cons: Comments:These rings are a very good value. However, I found the set screws to be a bit too small. They're not too small to hold the ring in place but rather it's too easy to strip out the hex end of the set screw.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
If they went to a larger set screw I would give this 5 stars. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
