Brandon 1.25" Color / Planetary Filter for Brandon Oculars - #15 Deep Yellow

1.25" Vernonscope Mounted Glass Filters feature 1" clear-aperture optical glass. Numbers are engraved on the mounting to correspond with those of Kodak Wratten series. The mountings are edge-knurled and threaded to fit the bases of BRANDON oculars and DAKIN Barlows. Vernonscope Mounted Glass Filters cut glare, provide superior contrast, improve definition and reduce eye fatigue.

Uses:

• It may increase contrast when observing Mercury.
• When observing Jupiter, #15 can be used to darken blue festoons near the equatorial regions.
• For observing Uranus or Neptune, the #15 filter enhances the blues and greens of the atmosphere.

Important Note: Brandon filters use a non-standard filter thread that works only with Brandon eyepieces and Dakin barlows. These filters cannot directly be used with other products that use the industry standard 1.25" filter thread (M28.5x0.6). An optional adapter (part # 114ADAPTVERN) is sold separately that allows you to use this filter on other accessories with standard 1.25" filter threads.
