Very good eyepieces
Pros:Pretty good with my F5 scope, affordable, nice build quality, nice smell, pleasant 60d AFOV, not too heavy, good looking, effective rubber band to hold them during cold weather. Individually, they are comfortable to use. Overall good quality.
Cons:Eye cup not exactly long enough when the eyepiece is used with 2x Xcel LX Barlow. Again, with the barlow, they are also very sensible to lateral misalignment and the image can be lost easily if moving. I prefer to use them individually, without the Barlow because of the very long eye relief.
Comments:I have the 24mm, 18mm, 9mm, and the 2x Barlow. They perform quite well with my fast F5 newtonian 200mm x 1000mm. The views to the edges are more then acceptable to me and these eyepieces are well corrected. I use them all the time, they are my primary elements.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
18mm is my favorite for many objects, DSOs, moon, it gives me 55x. The image is always crystal clear, 24mm is not far behind. 9mm is a very good medium power eyepiece too with sharp optics, very good to be used on the moon and planets with wratten filters, I get 111x out of it.Feb 5, 2018Fine Eyepiece for my 10 incher
Pros: Cons: Comments:Have only had one chance to use this 7mm eyepiece due to poor weather.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
It has nice eye relief, focuses very sharp, a wide enough field of view and is good value for the price. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Dec 9, 2017Nice eyepiece for the money
Pros: Cons: Comments:I consider the 7mm X-Cel LX eyepiece a very nice eyepiece for the money at least on slower scopes. (The faster scope I have is F/7.) The image quality is quite good with little color cast, has a reasonable apparent FOV, and pleasant eye relief. The rubber grip ring comes in handy on colder nights.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
There are definitely better higher quality eyepieces available, but for a similar AFOV they cost a lot more. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Aug 26, 2017Excellent
Pros: Cons: Comments:I love all of the XCel LX line but this one gets particular praise. High power with ortho clarity, a 60 degree field of view and comfortable eye relief. A true winner.

Pros: Cons: Comments:Got the 5 and 7mm's, really like them, work well on the planets, better than some of the $100 lenses I've tried.

Dec 2, 2012"I love the large Field of View!"
Pros:Lightweight,Quality Lenses,Twist- Down Eye Relief,Large field of view,Easy to Use
Cons:None noticed yet
Comments:Perfect eyepiece for my scope, allowing great views at high magnification! I really appreciate the large field of view, allowing you to show objects to others easily without looking through a small pinhole! Nothing wrong noticed at this point, I love the views! I'd like to own others just like it and highly recommend this eyepiece to others. For my scope it has the perfect range - high magnification as is, and when 2X barlowed it reaches just under the highest magnification I can reach in our State and achieve sharp focus.

May 3, 2012This is the second one for me
Pros:Accurate,Quality Lenses,Strong Construction,Easy to Use,Compact,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:This eyepiece is great it has little or no refocusing between lens changing, and the twist up rubber is great as sometimes I use glasses. Focusing on planets is very clear and crisp.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? YesThis review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
May 2, 2012Great lens
Pros: Cons: Comments:This lens is one of the best lens that I have used so far easy to focus and easy to interchange zero focus between lenses
