Manufacturer Description
The Celestron Piggyback Mount is a great accessory for all observers interested in deep-sky astrophotography. This specially designed adapter allows you to attach your camera to the top of any Celestron SCT/ EdgeHD telescope. When using with a NexStar SE model, the adapter can be mounted while still utilizing your StarPointer finderscope for telescope alignment.
A piggyback bracket is a simple astronomical accessory that can help you produce stunning photographs of the night sky. It allows you to attach a DSLR camera and lens to any Celestron SCT optical tube assembly and take advantage of the fact that your telescope has a dual-axis motor drive. When your telescope is running with the camera attached, you can take longer exposures without star trails, and capture details in objects that would have been impossible had your camera been attached to a photographic tripod or a telescope without a drive system.
The Piggyback adapter mounts directly to the rear cell of the 5, 6, and 8 SE NexStar telescopes. For mounting on larger C11 and C14 Celestron SCTs, an adapter plate is included.
Product carries full 2 year Celestron factory limited warranty (within US/Canada only).
