3.0 Good Eyepiece, but doesn't fit the scope

      Pros:

      Clear sharp views.

      Cons:

Won't focus when seated in the focuser.

      Comments:

I have an Orion XT8 Dobsonian and this EP does not focus when fully seated in the focuser. It's the only EP I have this problem with. It works fine as long as I back it about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch out of the focuser and lock it down. It does provide stunning, wide field views.

      5.0 32mm Q-70

      Pros:

      High quality, low cost.

      Cons:

      None

      Comments:

This set of 3 Q-70's may be the best bargain in eyepieces today. See my review of the 26mm Q-70 for some specifics. Like the 26mm version, this is a well made, high quality product. About the same physical size as the 26. I use it mostly for crystal clear views of larger star clusters. It provides tack-sharp focus of these clusters all the way to the edge with many individually resolved stars. Large exit pupil and very nice eye relief make it easy for even inexperienced users to capture the full views. The usual immediate response of first-timers is "WOW", rather than "I don't see anything" which is what you sometimes get with inexperienced users and smaller eyepieces. While I don't use it quite as much as the 26mm version, I consider it an indispensable part of my arsenal. Highly recommended.
