Televue Radian 6mm Wide view
Pros:Excellent quality with stunning views. First class eyepiece
Cons:Expensive at $240 new
Comments:I was lucky to borrow (yeah I had to give back) for a summer, say 5 months last year, a Televue Radian 6mm eyepiece. At $240 new and $175-185 used it's expensive but what views! Jupiter and Saturn were mind blowing. Just superb. The stats are: Eye relief 20mm (excellent), 7 elements, field of view 60 degrees, field stop 6.3mm and weight 0.7 pounds.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
If I didn't have to eat regularly, I'd have bought this puppy. But I knew I was in the market for a binoviewer and would have needed two of these and I had to give it back. Typical of Televue - real first class quality bar none. Comes new, I'm told, with a box and end caps. I used it with just a plastic screw bottle and that worked. Looking through this eyepiece is like having a looking glass porthole in space.Sort by
