Manufacturer Description
The new Baader Planetarium Click-Lock Eyepiece Reducer # T2-15b is a precision clamping eyepiece holder that enables you to insert your eyepieces or standard 1.25" accessories into 2" focusers, diagonals and barlows. The Click-Lock clamp offers a brand new approach to eyepiece holders. Once you try one, you'll never go back to simple set screw or even captive brass clamp rings again!
The holder is precisely machined to fit your eyepieces with a minimum of slop, resulting in a close, accurate fit that keeps your eyepiece properly centered on the optical axis. With a simple twist, 1.25" eyepieces and accessories are instantly locked. Simply grasp the rubber-knurled outer collar and lightly twist - that's all there is to it.
- 3-point clamping guarantees consistent centering and the complete absence of wobble.
- No-marring of your fine eyepieces and accessories.
- Knurled clamp lever is also provided for added convenience and to give a quick visual indication of clamp position.
- 20 degree rotation is all that is required. Very low force required to rotate.
- Absolutely no sag or misalignment, even for heavy and long accessories.
The input side is provided with 48mm filter threads so you can attach standard 2" astronomy filters. It also includes a nested internal T-2 thread which enables you to use the reducer along with the other T-2 system components.
Total length = 33mm (1.30"); Optical length = 10mm (0.39"); Maximum outside diameter (excluding clamp lever) = 56mm (2.20"); Clamp lever length = 18mm (0.71"); Weight = 3.3oz; Includes 1.25" dust plug and 2" end cap.

Excellent Eyepiece Holder
Pros: Cons: Comments:I really like this Baader 2" to 1.25" adapter and eyepiece holder. Much better performing than the Blue Fireball model.

Aug 30, 2017WELL WORTH THE WAIT AND MONEY
Pros: Cons: Comments:Well constructed and clever locking solution. Works flawless with all my TELEVUE eyepieces and slots straight into my baader dielectric diagonal prism 2" assembly.

Aug 3, 2017Baader click lock adapter
Pros: Cons: Comments:Expensive, but a must have for basic usage with my Lunt 1.25" diagonal. The diagonal is long and the single set screw for the standard adapters isnt enough to hold it and an eyepiece with filter. One time the diagonal got loose and tossed my 13mm nagler with baader solar contiuum filter onto the grass. I found and purchased this the next day, never looked back since.

Apr 9, 2017Consistent Quality
Pros: Cons: Comments:I use a lot of these Baader Click-Lock components. They are consistently the simplest, easiest to use and most positive clamps I know of for eyepieces and diagonals. This one is no different.

Apr 13, 2016Baader 2 inch to 1 1/4 inch click lock reducer 2956214
Pros:Lightweight
Cons:Difficult to Use
Comments:Baader 2 inch to 1 1/4 inch click lock reducer 2956214.... this is difficult to use.... I have a Baader 2 inch zeiss prism star diagonal yet this is a tight fit .... inserting it into this star diagonal causes me to misalign my telescope.... same problem with inserting eyepieces into this adapter....it's a very tight fit... they are difficult to insert and again this causes misalignment of my telescope... but the most amazing thing is I also purchased two new TeleVue plossl eyepieces and after testing them in this adapter and then re-installing my trusty blue fireball adapter they had a much better contrast and the image was much better with the Blue Fireball adapter! ( which cost about a quarter the price of this).... I have never seen anything like this before , I had no idea that an eyepiece adapter could have such an adverse effect on the performance of an eyepiece! i've only tested this in my Baaderzeiss 2 inch prism diagonal, In Genesis SDf on Jupiter..... The difference was very clear , very obvious , very remarkable ...l perhaps this is due to the large bottom portion of the adapter that's been cut away for the filter threads and the T2 threads whereas the Blue Fireball adapter has a longer straight black column that works better ?

Jan 23, 2016Ideal eyepiece holder
Pros:Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:Good clamping which is especially important when slewing on an equatorial mount with a heavy eyepiece. I also often buy and resell eyepieces, so the non-marring design is also important.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? YesThis review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
May 30, 2014Expensive but definitely worth it
Pros:Strong Construction,Easy to Use,Accurate,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:This adapter replaced by stock 2->1.25 focuser adapter. May I say that this at least halved the time it takes to change from one eyepiece to another, considerably reducing any related frustration of messing with the stock screw, especially at cold nights.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
One issue that I ran into is that the adapter needs to be secured VERY strongly within my gso focuser tube, just tightening the screw with fingers does not cut it (it will rotate when you try to secure an eyepiece in it), I had to use pliers to tighten the focuser screw. In hindsight, I would probably wrap the adapter with some electric tape to get more friction between the adapter and the focuser tube. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
