Manufacturer Description
Baader's 2"/1.25" reducer permits you convert your 2" focuser for use with 1.25" eyepieces and accessories.
This 2" reducer incorporates several useful features. A captive spring bronze lock ring guarantees protection of your eyepiece barrels from damage. This reducer also incorporates two large nickel plated brass knurled clamp screws that are oriented 90 degrees apart. The inclusion of two clamp screws results in a superior 3-point attachment that completely constrains your equipment from wobble, particularly important for imaging applications (typical single clamp screw adapters still allow some motion). Also, for those users that are physically unable to firmly grasp and tighten lock screws, the addition of a second screw doubles the locking force (ie, particularly nice for those unable to grip tightly due to arthritis).
The input side is provided with 48mm filter threads, and also includes a nested internal T-2 thread which enables you to use the reducer along with the other T-2 system components. One more unique feature sets our reducer apart - it includes an external T-2 thread that surrounds the eyepiece opening (covered and dressed by a knurled removable ring). This thread permits you to couple other T-2 accessories to the output side. In one application, you can attach T-2 Extension Tubes and create an extremely rigid afocal or eyepiece projection system. Once again, you are free to creatively construct your own combinations.

Baader 1.25"/2" focuser adapter
Pros: Cons: Comments:with the female threads on the bottom I added a 14mm micro extender ring from Badder which enables me to use 2" with my 1.25" EPs without them hitting the filter glass - perfect!

Mar 24, 2017Believe me It really works excellent
Pros: Cons: Comments:I own a Meade 8x24 zoom eyepiece and tried regular adapters but it still had movement I then purchased a twist lock hoping it would do the trick to keep it firmly held in place but to no avail.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
I decided to buy myself one of these instead to see if it will hold my eyepieces firmly and it did hold it in place although I did not apply too much pressure. I was able to now turn my zoom eyepiece to different magnification with two fingers without the eyepiece moving, before that I had to hold on to the eyepiece with both hands to adjust for the different magnification.
I really like the feel of it and it now have a permanent resting place in my 2" diagonal and telescope.
The two thumbscrews are really nice and thick and very comfortable to turn either way left or right for tightening or loosening the internal bronze compression ring.
Anyone interested with this item I'll tell you straight up it's worth the money, a bit expensive but in the long run will last you a lifetime especially of the quality. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com

Feb 20, 2015Better than all the other I've tried
Pros:Accurate,Strong Construction,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:The adapter is one of the best on the market. Before buying this one I tried the "Orion 2" to 1.25" Precision Centering Adapter" ... total fail as it was simply not holding the camera or eyepiece properly. I bought the Baader and the quality immediately stood out.. so I bought a second one for my other telescope.

Jan 13, 2013Precision mechanic
Pros:Strong Construction,Compact,Easy to Use,Lightweight,Accurate
Cons: Comments:It is a precision mechanic piece.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
T-2 thread is a plus.
This use need remove the two screws but still useful.
The two screws to fix the eyepiece are very smooth to manipulate. Steady and smooth.
Finishing is well done and is lightweight.
Worth the price. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com

Oct 29, 2011Probably the Best
Pros: Cons: Comments:This is probably the best available 2" to 1.25" adapter. Appears to be precisely machined, has all kinds of threads if you care about such things, and the lip where the eyepiece inserts to makes it easy to grab small eyepieces like the short orthos and Plossls that don't have much casing above the barrel to grab. I don't care for the undercut in the 2" barrel, but it's a standard feature nowadays. It is beveled slightly, which makes it hard to fill with something if you don't want it.
