This Baader SCT-T adapter # T2-21 # 2408160 has a female SCT thread (2', 24TPI) on one side, and a standard male T / T2 (M42x0.75) thread on the other side. This short T-2 threaded adapter enables you to couple all of the T-threaded components of the Baader ASTRO T-2 System to your SCT while using a minimum of valuable back-focus distance. This deluxe short adapter is particularly useful in attaching the optimized SCT photo-visual Alan Gee Mark II Telecompressor, and fits all Celestron and Meade Schmidt Cassegrains.
The short length also permits you to pair the Alan Gee II Telecompressor with the Baader/Zeiss Giant Binocular Viewer, providing incredible large-aperture wide field binocular viewing at f/5.9! The internal surface is fully sharp threaded and blackened to kill stray light reflections. Using the short T-adapter and Astro T-2 System, your SCT becomes the perfect platform for a wide array of potential visual and imaging configurations. The two-piece design allows you to adjust the orientation of your equipment before you fully thread in the SCT adapter.
The Deluxe Adapter (#T2-21) uses only 15mm of distance and offers an additional knurled ring that allows a grip surface for rotation of your T-threaded component. It includes a wide fluted surface to enable better grip and result in more secure locking onto the 2" SCT thread.
Total adapter length = 27.3mm (1.07"); Maximum outside diameter = 56mm (2.20"). Adapter weight = 1.7oz.Baader part number: T2-21 or 2408160

Works great for the ZWO ASI1600 ProPros: Cons: Comments:
I got this to help with the backfocus locking (and orientation) of my new ZWO ASI-1600MM Pro kit. Since the backfocus is so critical, but also getting the filter wheel oriented properly for mount balance, this worked perfectly for both objectives.

Couple this with a Baader T2 Diagonal!Pros:
Lightweight,Easy to Use,Strong Construction,AccurateCons: Comments:
I use this with my Baader T2 prism diagonal on my C8. This keeps the optical paths short enough to prevent vignetting with a focal reducer. If you want to avoid the aperture reducing effects of a long optical train, such as using a 2" diagonal with focal reducer on the C8 or smaller SCTs, then this is the best solution I know of for a diagonal. That is, the Baader T2 diagonal used with this SCT adapter.
