Manufacturer Description
Baader's new H-Alpha passfilter enables high-contrast deep sky images of H-II regions (such as the N. American Nebula). Its medium 35nm FWHM bandwidth is ideal for interline CCD cameras (like SBIG ST-2000/STL11000). The lower sensitivity of interline transfer CCDs benefits from the more efficient 35nm FWHM. The sharp bandpass and > 90% high efficiency coatings make the Baader H-Alpha filter superior to the common colored-glass based filters; all at a reasonable price.
The Baader H-Alpha filter shares the same outstanding features as all the other Baader imaging filters. Unmatched optical quality, and high efficiency hardened multicoatings result in the sharpest and highest contrast images possible.

Works as I expected
Pros: Cons: Comments:Went with the Higher bandpass because I use a OSC camera and wanted something that I could blend into standard color images to accentuate the H-Alpha areas and so far have been very satisfied

Jun 4, 2012Baader Planetarium Narrowband 7nm Ha filter
Pros:Quality construction, fits all 2" threads, no clearance issues
Cons:None
Comments:This filter is great for emission nebulae and has performed excellently for astrophotography. I have used it successfully with my filter wheels with no clearance issues and threads perfectly into all my 2" filter threaded accessories. This filter is optimal for narrowband imaging. One thing I noticed is that only a slight refocusing is required when using this filter versus some other filters. Very high quality filter that comes in a nice case.
