Must-have for SCTPros: Cons: Comments:
This is very nicely made of black finished aluminum, and a must-have to safeguard the rear opening of any Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope when you put it away. Gotta wonder why they call it a blue fireball, though.

Fits my old orange C8Pros: Cons: Comments:
I have a Celestron C8 that I purchased in 1982 or 1981. I upgraded to a 2" diagonal that screws directly onto the scope like a visual back. I needed a cover for the back when it is in the case. This fit perfectly. It is high quality metal. Seems a little pricey, but I don't know what it costs to manufacture.

Fits perfectly my Celestron EdgeHD CGE 8" telescopePros: Cons: Comments:
Perfect! Got the smallest case, Celestron Carrying Case for 4/5/6" NexStar Telescope, to fit my Celestron EdgeHD CGE 8", and the adapter it came with the scope was on the way, so had to remove it, but also needed to cover the whole. This was a perfect fit.

Serves its purposes, no more no lessPros: Cons: Comments:
Exactly as advertised: aluminum cover for the threads on the back of a mid-size SCT. In my application, this was for a Celestron C8 (SP model). Nothing fancy, but it works very well. Nice knurled edge, no manufacturer logos or anything. Simple, clean design

Matches My Meade Etx-125,Lightweight,Strong Construction,Easy to Use,AccurateCons: Comments:
Well made, knurled sides make it easy to grip/turn, color matches my Meade ETX-125, better looking/less expensive than a Meade LX equivalent.

The Cap You Should HavePros: Cons: Comments:
My Celestron CPC 800 came with a rubber cap that simply (and loosely I might add) slipped over the back of my OTA. I now have a metal cap that screws on, won't fall off and protects my investment.
It's a must have for anyone who owns a telescope.

A quality cap for SCT accessory threadsPros:
Lightweight,Easy to Use,Well machinedCons:
A bit expensiveComments:
I used this cap to replace the plastic cap that came with my SCT. The plastic cap was difficult to remove and install, but this machined cap was a breeze to use, due to its accurately machined threads.
