Manufacturer Description
This Blue Fireball adapter allows you to attach 1.25" eyepieces and accessories to any equipment/adapter that has a male T thread (T2 mount). Common examples are telephoto lenses (which can be converted into excellent finder telescope with the use of this adapter, spacers, and an eyepiece), T thread adapters, off axis guiders, etc. Some Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes use a male t-thread on their rear cell, so you can use this adapter as a 1.25" visual back for such scopes.
This high quality adapter has a T2 female thread on one end and a 1.25" eyepiece barrel on the other end. Eyepiece barrel features brass compression ring. Made of black anodized aluminum. Total length = 29mm (1.14").

I use a high end
Pros: Cons: Comments:I use a high end nikon 750mm lens for guiding with an sbig remote head. i recently purchased a new zwo camera for guiding i did not have enough back focus with my current set up. This worked perfectly to get either my eyepiece or the zwo camera in focus for guiding. No problems with ordering online and shipping. I would recommend this product if you use a camera lens as part of you astrophotography equipment and i would use use this company again for future purchases.

Apr 1, 2017Stuff That Works
Pros: Cons: Comments:Blue Fireball parts are well made and utilitarian. This one is no exception. Two screws are more secure when this component is used with a diagonal.

Oct 8, 2014Blue Fireball Eyepiece Holder (1.25")
Pros:Strong Construction,Lightweight,Easy to Use,Accurate,Compact
Cons: Comments:This eyepiece adaptor is robust and solid enough to provide great security for my eyepieces and stability for using further adaptors in my imaging train. They remain light enough not to add to much additional weight to my system. The internal compression ring protects my eyepiece barrels from lock screw damage. Perfect for the price and great quality! I always shop with Agena for all my adaptors. Such a great range at excellent prices.

Sep 5, 2014I'd buy this product again.

Dec 8, 2013Nice adapter
Pros:Easy to Use,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:I purchased this for my Celestron C90 newer model in order to be able to use my quality 1-1/4" diagonal without scratching the barrel, therefore allowing me to not scratch my eyepiece barrels......this threads right onto the T2 threads of the C90 supplied visual back, increasing the focal length by a bit, but not affecting my use of the scope.

Nov 29, 2013An excellent low-cost, light-weight adapter
Pros:Compact,Easy to Use,Lightweight,Strong Construction
Cons: Comments:This is really an excellent compact, lightweight, and economical adapter. Its compression ring makes it superior to the similarly priced Baader economy adapter. Although not as elegant as the Baader click-lock adapter, it has a much friendlier price tag. I use it with a Baader Herschel solar wedge, and it handles Tele Vue Delos eyepieces just fine.

Oct 2, 2013Perfect Companion to Agena Filter Wheel
Pros:Strong Construction,Lightweight,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:I use it with the Agena Filter Wheel and works like magic along with the Blue Fireball Gender Changer: T / T2 Male-Male Thread Adapter # G-TM. Plus anytime you have an accessory without Compression Rings on the eyepiece adapter this becomes a must for the protection of eyepieces from nasty scratches.

Aug 26, 2013Well Built and Solid, Very Practical!
Pros:Accurate,Easy to Use,Strong Construction,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:With the proper adapter this can be used with any 1.25" Accessory to Secure and Protect your Eyepieces. I purchased the "Agena 1.25" 5-Position Manual Filter Wheel" and needed to replace the Eyepiece holder with a holder that has a Compression Ring, I used the "Blue Fireball Gender Changer: T / T2 Male-Male Thread Adapter # G-TM" in combination with "Blue Fireball Eyepiece Holder (1.25") with T / T2 Female Thread (T2 Visual Back) # E-10" and it worked wonderfully.

Jul 28, 2013Excellent accessory
Pros:Easy to Use,Strong Construction,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:I bought this to use on a flip mirror diagonal in order to decrease the focus for a 20mm eyepiece. The eyepiece holder works beautifully.

Jul 27, 2013I would buy this product again.
Pros:Lightweight,Accurate,Strong Construction,Compact,Easy to Use

Mar 25, 2013Blue Fireball Components
Pros:Accurate
Cons:Accurate
Comments:I've acquired a number of Blue Fireball components from Agena. All have been positive experiences. This EP holder is no different. Machining (turning, threads and knurling) is always well executed. Finishes are utilitarian and well applied. In addition, kudos to Agena for maintaining a line of this nature. Some of these parts are difficult to find elsewhere.

Feb 10, 2013I would buy again
Pros:Accurate,Easy to Use,Strong Construction,Lightweight,Compact
Cons: Comments:Easy to fit, works really well as it stops marking all the bottom of my lens or accessories that I fit to my scope .

Feb 8, 2013Eyepiece Holder
Pros:Lightweight,Strong Construction,Easy to Use,Accurate,Compact
Cons: Comments:I got this for use on my T thread star prism diagonal to get a little more in focus distance compared to the previous holder. Very pleased with it.

Feb 8, 2013Upgrade For My Refractor's Visual Back
Pros:Compact,Easy to Use,Lightweight,Strong Construction
Cons: Comments:I have a 1980's era Vixen refractor with a 43mm drawtube. Its single point locking screw is not sufficiently secure for today's heavier eyepiece/diagonal combinations.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
I removed the OEM visual back and replaced it with a Baader T2-22 # 1508037 adapter. Then threaded this eyepiece holder onto the Baader T2 threads. What you end up with is a strong compression ring fitting that will securely hold heavier diagonals and eyepieces without marring their barrels. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Jun 6, 2012Excellent accesory to astrophotography!
Pros: Cons: Comments:Im happy to own this Blue Fireball adapter that it's very similar to the Lumicon Female T-Thread - 1.25" Female Adapter. It threads onto male T-Threads and accepts 1.25" eyepieces and accessories or ideal to the OAG, Filter Wheel and adapters for direct photography. In my opinion it is a better accesory and by for economic than another. I'm happy to own this.

Feb 24, 2012Useful with an off-axis guider
Pros: Cons: Comments:I purchased this T-thread eyepiece holder shortly after I started using an off-axis guider. I'm using a Starlight Express Lodestar autoguider, which is a 1.25" cylinder which fits neatly into this eyepiece holder. I also tried a T-thread to C mount adapter, but I found this was just as firm and gave me more flexibility for adjusting focal distance.
