Sep 29, 2016Accurately Made. Fully Functional.
Pros:Compact,Lightweight,Easy to Use,Ships to Nigeria!,Accurate,Strong Construction
Cons: Comments:I needed a compact, very well made filter holder to connect my 1.25" filters with my HyperStar system to allow me do fast dso imaging.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
The default product did not ship to Nigeria and "no" was not an option.
So I researched the matter and asked questions and this and another product came up. Raeding product reviews online, I settled for this one.
I have no regrets. It is a solid, very well finished perfect fit for my HyperStar. The threading is a perfect match and there is no play whatsoever.
Just fyi; since the HyperStar's own lensholder is proprietary, I had to grind a dedicated filter holder down to allow the combination slide into the Hyperstar. But that is not a con for this product. It was designed to mate a 1.25" filter with a 2" opening and it does so perfectly. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Feb 24, 2015Be careful in the thickness
Pros:Easy to Use,Strong Construction,Lightweight
Cons:The Thickness Of The Edge
Comments:I have used in the filter slider.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
The thickness of the edge has to be noted that there 2.5mm.
Some filters did not enter the slider.
However, it could be used with little cutting the cell of filter with sandpaper. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Feb 20, 2015Thin Profile, Machined well, Works
Pros: Cons: Comments:This thin profile adapter fits inside of my Orion 2" filter wheel, and lets me use 1/25" filters inside. It it well made, the threads fit nicely. There are two indentations for a spanner wrench to help remove the adapter, but I find my fingers have no trouble removing it without tools.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
I will buy another of theseThis review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Aug 28, 2013Great addition
Pros:Easy to Use,Lightweight,Compact,Strong Construction
Cons: Comments:I have had this adaptor for 5 months now and I gotta tell ya this is a great addition to my astronomy setup. I use it mostly on my 35 panoptic. It helps me find nebulas and allows me to use my OIII and Light polution filters. It also saves my $$ as I do not have to purchase a 2 inch filter. YEAH, more eyepieces to buy with saved money.. But in all honesty it does work and allows a 2 inch Ep use a 1.25 filter. the one drawback is you are making your 2 inch EP act like a 1.25 filter as you are stopping it down to which I have no objection too. If you are looking to use that 2 inch Ep and use your 1.25 filter and dont mind the stopping down than this adaptor is for you.

Mar 23, 2013Simple filter solution that works
Pros:Strong Construction
Cons:None
Comments:Allows use of cheaper 1.25 filters on 2" eyepieces. Works as advertised. Allows me to use 1.25 filters on my 2" televue 17 mm nagler. Great simple product.

Mar 22, 2013Filter Adapter
Pros:Strong Construction
Cons: Comments:This is an excellent adapter to use 1-1/4" filters in a 2" to 1-1/4" eyepiece adapter if you don't have any 2" filters. It screws into the eyepiece adapter. the 1-/14" filter can then be screwed into the Blue FireBall adapter. The filter can be screwed into either side. I sometime screw the filter into the top, toward the eyepiece side so it doesn't stick out. You can change eyepieces as the filter isn't screwed into the eyepiece.

Feb 8, 2013Nothing else like it in the US
Pros:Compact,Accurate
Cons: Comments:This solved a problem that I couldn't solve any other way. There is literally nothing else like this in the US that I have been able to find. I wanted to mount a spectroscopy grating in a 2" nosepiece rather than a 1.25". This worked perfectly for that application. There is only one other part like this that I have found, but it's in Germany and shipping it costs a fortune.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
I sent an email inquiry about such a part of received a reply within just a few minutes and was able to place an order the same day. Couldn't be any happier! This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
May 12, 2012Been looking for this!
Pros:Accurate,Easy to Use,Compact
Cons: Comments:I have a moonlight focuser with the filter swingarm option. That takes a 2" filter and lets you swing it in and out of the light path with the flick of a lever. I have many 1.25" filters that I can now use once I buy this item. I Will expect to work as advertised; nothing too complicated about the concept. I Love Agena!
