Product Info
Manufacturer Description
The Celestron Cheshire Collimation Eyepiece is ideal for precise collimation of Newtonians and helpful for aligning Schmidt-Cassegrains. This special eyepiece fits into 1.25" focusers or diagonals.
Alignment is easy using the small opening on one end and thin cross hairs at the other end. The collimation eyepiece is more accurate than the simple Collimation Tool.
Product carries full 2 year Celestron factory limited warranty (within US/Canada only).

Jan 12, 2007Great for a quick check
Pros:Simple to use
Cons:none
Comments:Works very well for a quick check, or minor adjustment. After I set up for the night as it's still light, I will check collimation with this eyepiece and make any small adjustments. If it is off too far then I would use a Tectron set up and some more time consuming adjustments.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Have only had to do that once so this eyepiece keeps the optics in line longer for me. I just keep it in my eyecase and ready to goSort by
