Manufacturer Description
This medium power Omni eyepiece is a 4 -element premium symmetrical Plossl optical design. Features include blackened lens edges to minimize internal reflection and maximize contrast, multi-layer coating group on each lens surface to maximize light transmission and contrast, and each Omni goes through a two-step anodizing process to prevent reflection from the top eyepiece barrel, unlike most other manufactures who use reflective surfaces. Threaded barrels accept 1-1/4" thread-in filters.
Product carries two-year manufacturer limited warranty (within US/Canada only).

Nov 6, 2018Favorite Plossls
Pros: Cons: Comments:The Celestron Omni EP's are my favorite Plossl eyepieces for longer focal ratio scopes. I use the Omni 15mm, in both a f/10 refractor and an f/8 6" dobs. In both scopes, I get clear sharp crisp views. In the f/8 this is a favorite for brighter globular clusters like M22. In my f/10, this is a favorite for splitting Mizar and Alcor. The EP is lightweight, which helps with a small refractor, and seems very well made for the price. It is fully multi-coated, so I don't get any noticeable ghosting. Best of all, if it is dropped due to clod or gloved hands fumbling on a dark night, I've dropped a $30 EP and not one of my higher EP's. However, I must say that for such a low price, I am very impressed with the performance, build, and looks of this great buy. No, I wouldn't trade my E-Cel LX for it, but it is less than half the cost as well and much lighter.

Dec 5, 2011The best of quality/price
Pros:Quality Lenses,Compact,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:I am sorry for my English...
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
I use this eyepiece always with a binoviewer on refractor and newton with satisfaction.
I have also a couple of 9mm always Omni series that work very well.
Good general correction and a little bit cold the colors tone; no ghost image detected. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
