Our Star Diagonal lets you view objects that are at a 90° angle from the direction the telescope is pointing, thereby allowing comfortable viewing when the telescope is pointed at, or near, the zenith (i.e. directly overhead). The resulting image is right side up, but will be reversed from left to right. Weight = 5.2oz.

This is a good buyPros: Cons: Comments:
I haven't had this diagonal for very long but from what I can see from two nights of viewing the moon is that it shows a definite improvement in contrast. I'm using it with a 102 f6.5 refractor. The view looks better on the moon than the dielectric diagonal I was using. A lot cheaper too! So far so good.

Not so great.Pros: Cons: Comments:
These are now too cheaply made. The thumbwheels stick up above the edge of the tube, so collide with some eyepieces, and the thumbscrews are very loose and the threads may strip out with not much use. This one is now in my "spares" box. Replaced it with a Tele Vue diagonal.

Very goodPros: Cons: Comments:
Bought for my c90. Vast improvement over the mirror diagonal I was using.
Basically identical to the Japanese made one i have from 25 years ago. Very good for the price.

Celestron Prism DiagonalPros: Cons: Comments:
I purchased this diagonal to reduce the light path in my 4 inch refractor. It works with all of my eyepieces, and its collimation is spot on. I am very pleased with it.
