Excellent low-power eyepiece for a fast reflectorPros: Cons: Comments:
I purchased this eyepiece to use with a 130mm f/5 newtonian reflector. It's an excellent match for that telescope.
Before trying this eyepiece I tried the 25mm Agena Starguider Dual ED. I was disappointed to find it exhibited serious curvature of field with my fast reflector (though it's fine with slower scopes). I then tried the 25mm Celestron Ex-Cel LX with my telescope and found it worked very well--just a small amount of astigmatism near the edge of the field, as one might expect with f/5 optics. I returned the Agena Starguider and kept the Celestron.
I appreciate Agena's liberal return policy, which enabled me to keep only the eyepiece that worked for me. I've found Agena an excellent company to do business with, and I'll continue to do so.

Excellent just like all X-Cel LXsPros:
Easy to Use,Quality LensesCons: Comments:
I keep coming back to these comfortable, high quality eyepieces. Just excellent for crisp views with no eye strain. Razor sharp to the edge in my f/10 and just great in my f/6. Highest recommendation.

Great EP in a fast scope!Pros:
Strong Construction,Very Sharp In Fast Scope,Easy to Use,Quality Lenses,Accurate,Compact,LightweightCons:
Top Cap Fits Too TightComments:
I've tried this eyepiece out once and it was excellent in my fast 10" F/4.7 reflector. In fact, stars were little pin points right out to the edges. The only minor gripe I have, is how tight the top cap is. Otherwise, great eyepiece! I highly recommend it. I'm going to order another soon because I sold the one I had to get something else!

Strong Construction,Quality Lenses,Easy to UseCons:
I use this as my wide field eyepiece on my grab-n-go short tube newtonian and it gives absolutely beautiful views scanning the milky way at a fairly low magnification of about 20x and is my most used and favourite EP. About the only thing I can complain about is it's a surprisingly large and weighty eyepiece, otherwise it has good eye relief, excellent field of view, good colour correction, good edge to edge focus and outstanding quality of construction. For the price I think you'd be hard pushed to find a better 25mm.

A top notch eyepiece - my favoritePros:
Quality Lenses,Extremely well made,Great edge to edge focus,Fantastic field of view,Strong ConstructionCons:
Rubber eyeguard comes off,HeavyComments:
This is my favorite eyepiece bar none. Although heavy, it is of much higher quality than any other eyepiece I own. You get great edge to edge focus. I would eventually like to own the entire set of these. The only defects I have found is the rubber eyeguard comes off everytime you remove the end cap and you have to refocus quite a bit when changing to and from other eyepieces.

Accurate,Compact,Quality Lenses,Strong ConstructionCons: Comments:
This eyepiece is an interesting option for a balanced performance. It is good on all issues: the eye relief, construction, contrast, transparency, color correction, geometric correction, a good AFOV (60 degrees). Only Radian has a better performance, but more expensive. I use it on a small refractor (80mm) to see the Brazilian birds and flowers and see DSO at low magnification. Excellent balance between price and performance.
